Japan and Taiwan to let go the working holiday fee – Opulentus

The foreign affairs minister made an announcement the previous day that the visa application fee for the working holiday program will be taken away the interest of both Japan and Taiwan.

The recent policy has aimed to lessen the burden of the youths of Japan and Taiwan who makes use of the working holiday scheme.

The interchange association of Japan which is a represents the interest of Japan in Taiwan, processes the working holiday visa twice a year for the youth of Taiwanese.

The interchange association is likely to announce the list of applicants who will be qualified for the visa.

The recent policy says that the successful applicants need not pay the visa application fee.

The working holiday scheme came into action in 2009 June, where 2,000 adults between the age of 28-35 from each country were allowed to visit the other country for a period of time for the purpose of work or leisure.

Japan and Taiwan has decided to increase working holiday quota up to 5,000. The two countries will also not charge the application fee to the successful candidates.
